Pultrusion is automatic continuous manufacturing process for production of various composite profiles. In this manufacturing process, the reinforcement material, glass roving is impregnated into resin system and then it is pulled into heated die with a specific shape and dimensions. The shape and dimensions of the die defines the shape of the profile. The process of polymerization occurs for a very short period through the length of the die. The die is heated on high temperature with different temperature zones. The process is continuous and thus the profiles can be cut on desired length. Pultruded profiles are composite materials consisted of glass roving and/or glass mats and resin system. The resin system can be polyester, epoxy or vinylester. Pultruded profiles can be produced in any shape and any length. Pultruded profiles are characterized with, stable cross dimensions along the entire length of the profile, great axial strength, corrosion resistance, high module of elasticity, minimum thermal expansion, great specific strength, RF transparency.

Composition of the pultruded profiles

• reinforcement (direct glass roving, glass mat and/or glass fabric)
• resin system (polyester, epoxy or vinylester)

Pultruded profiles can be in-house machined according to a technical drawing with given quotes and tolerances.
